An old, decommissioned Milford Firehouse located in the Borough of Woodmont has been transferred to the Borough for $1.00. The Borough will use funds from a STEAP Grant which has been awarded by the State of Connecticut to remodel the firehouse for use as a new Borough Hall. The Borough has hired an architectural/engineering company, Silver - Petrucelli and Associates, to plan and design the project. The funds from the STEAP Grant will be used for construction. Borough funds will be used for the planning and design phase which has recently been completed. The project is expected to go out to bid in early July, 2014 with ground breaking shortly thereafter. When the new hall is completed, the current Borough Hall located on Clinton Street will be disposed of by sale.
